Senior Inspector UAE Curriculum Schools Dubai English/Arabic Speaker Excellent Expatriate Package The Schools Inspection Bureau (SIB), part of the Knowledge and Human Development Authority, is a new body responsible for defining and measuring education quality in order to support the improvement of all schools government and private in Dubai. The SIB will undertake a comprehensive assessment of educational standards and performance for every school in Dubai and private schools and parents with an accurate and detailed view of the quality of school education. Government school inspections will largely be carried out by staff inspectors. The inspection of private schools will largely be carried out by specialist associate inspectors contracted to inspect a number of schools each year. Role: The Senior School Inspector (UAE curriculum schools) will lead and manage the inspection team that will carry out inspections of schools which follow the UAE curriculum. 80% of these are government schools, the remaining schools are private schools that follow the UAE curriculum. The role of Senior Inspector is significant in ensuring that inspections are carried out efficiently to a consistent quality and that findings are reported effectively. This is integral to building the credibility and recognition of the Inspectorate as a tool for school improvement. Senior Inspectors are responsible for the conduct and supervision of inspectors conducted by the Schools Inspection Bureau. They will support the Principal Inspectors with the management and performance improvement of their team of Inspectors Senior Inspectors are expected to spend 40% of their time on inspection duties or equivalent, with the remainder on management duties. The Authority is responsible to the Executive Council of the Government of Dubai and they are seeking to recruit a new team of 7 School Improvement officers, each with a responsibility for a small group of Government schools. There are two Units within the Schools Agency : An administrative Services Unit and an Educational Services Unit. This team sits within the Educational Services Unit. Role: The School Improvement Officer is responsible form supporting school improvement in a group of government schools in Dubai. The post holder is the key relationship manager responsible for ensuring that schools are benefiting from the range of support offered by the School Agency and you will have a key role to play in helping schools to implement post-inspection action plans. The inspections will be carried out the by separate Schools Inspections Bureau, which is another agency within the KHDA.
